The European University of Technology (EUt+) alliance is steadily progressing towards becoming a multi-campus European University, with the ultimate goal of merging its member institutions.
Collaborative activities in research and innovation have encouraged researchers to pool their expertise and resources, leading to the formation of EUt+ Research Groups (ERG) and Institutes (ERI). An ERI represents a strategic concentration of EUt+ research strengths at the European level, operating under a unified name. These ERIs bring together researchers and academics from EUt+ member universities, facilitating collaboration and infrastructure sharing across interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary fields, as well as within focused research domains.
To express this common belonging to EUt+ strategy, joint publications of ERI and ERG are now signed with the double affiliation 1Member University and 2EUt+. This decision reflects the understanding that EUt+ represents more than just a network; it signifies a shared strategic vision and a sense of belonging (affectio societatis). Therefore, all publications are encouraged to adopt this double affiliation.
