As part of the European University of Technology (EUT+) alliance, the Technical University of Sofia is hosting the second edition of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled "Communicating Science and Culture." This initiative, running from October 7-11, 2024, aims to foster cross-cultural exchange and communication skills through a hybrid learning format. Participants, including students and staff from EUT+ partner institutions like the University of Cassino and the Riga Technical University, will engage in both online and on-site activities to develop teamwork, presentation, and intercultural skills in a multidisciplinary context.

The programme, designed by the Department of Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics (DFLAL), emphasizes essential transferable skills like communication, teamwork, and presentation. By exploring each other’s languages and cultures, participants will hone these abilities, reflecting on how to address the needs of diverse teams, especially in international contexts. Students will play an active role in shaping the programme, contributing their own ideas and content, fostering a deeper understanding of collaboration across cultures.

The BIP is a vital example of EUT+'s commitment to encouraging collaboration across borders, reflecting the alliance's vision for integrating technological education with cultural and scientific communication. This initiative aligns with Erasmus+ goals by combining virtual and in-person exchanges, ensuring a rich, blended learning experience. Through interactive sessions, workshops, and collaborative tasks, participants will enhance their ability to communicate complex scientific and cultural ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
