The Da-CA-Du Project : a blog created by staff and students from Hochschule Darmstadt, UPCT Cartagena and TU Dublin members of the EUt+ alliance.
Staff and students from Hochschule Darmstadt, UPCT Cartagena and TU Dublin participated in an online collaborative project, Da-Ca-Du Interkulturelles Lernen für Deutschlernende, which sought to develop German written and oral language skills & intercultural competence, and enhance and develop awareness around multilingualism and plurilingualism.
The project brought together students (at various levels on CEFR and from a variety of disciplines) in collaboration and construction of an online Blog. The project’s goals were enhancement, enrichment & co-curricular activity that converged with and extended learning outcomes identified for students in their respective universities. In small online multi-campus groups, students explored their student lives and their experience of diversity in their universities, their cities and in this project, and submitted posts and recordings individually and in groups.
The website/blog https://interculturalblog-hda.de/ is accessible to all, and while formal evaluation is ongoing, students are positive about their experience and looking forward to a short physical mobility to Darmstadt in October to follow their online engagement.
