EUt+ supports UNiTE campaign for the Elimination of Violence against Women

The United Nation’s UNiTE campaign (Nov 25- Dec 10) for the Elimination of Violence Against Women will mark the launch of 16 days of activism, concluding on the day that commemorates the International Human Rights Day (10 December). For the campaign, the colour orange is used to represent a brighter future, free from violence against women and girls.

The partners of EUt+ support the UNiTE campaign with events planned across partners.
 

Université de Technologie de Troyes is promoting ‘wear orange’ to show their support. From Friday 25 November to Friday 2 December 2022, a photographic exhibition by Thomas Ginet (student of UTT) can also be visited. The pictures of prevention of violence against women and homophobia feature UTT’s students. UTT is also running an active awareness campaign.
Meanwhile, Technological University Dublin has created a series of panel discussions aligned to the campaign including a seminar and panel discussion connected to research on migrant hospitality workers in TU Dublin and guest lectures by female leaders and running an active awareness campaign highlighting also the online events of the United Nations.

 
Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena is launching an Urban Art competition open to staff and students across EUt+ on the first day of 25th November 2022. The competition themed on the elimination of gender violence allows the winner to travel to Cartagena and paint their art piece on a wall in the city in addition to a cash award. Members of EUt+ must send their drawing before 31/12/2022.
