She is a passionate supporter of lifelong learning.
Elis Kakoulli Constantinou is a core member of the European Laboratory for Pedagogical Action Research and Student-Centred Learning (ELaRA), Task 3.4, coordinating the Cyprus University of Technology team. She takes part in several research activities and sharing-good-practices actions initiated by ELaRA, and she is responsible for the coordination of support projects for the EUt+ academic staff and students.
Elis is excited to be part of this great initiative that brings together colleagues from different parts of Europe interested in the exploration of issues pertaining to student-centred and inclusive education aiming to prepare students and academic staff for the challenges of the future across different disciplines. Elis is an English instructor at the Cyprus University of Technology Language Centre. She has also served as the Language Centre Acting Director.
Moreover, she is a teacher trainer at the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, training teachers of public primary and secondary education on issues related to action research, teaching methodology and the use of technology in the teaching practice. She holds a PhD specializing in English for Specific Purposes Teacher Education, an MA in Applied Linguistics and a BA in English Language and Literature. Her research focuses on English for Specific Purposes, Teacher Education, Curriculum Development, Teaching Methodology, Technology Enhanced Language Learning and Action Research.
