On May 24th, Sylvie Retailleau, French Minister of Higher Education and Research came to Troyes to inaugurate the new premises of EUT+ Secretariat general and visited UTT. These premises are provided by the Conseil Départemental de l'Aube, which was already the main supporter of UTT at its creation. The Minister was received by Christophe Collet, President of UTT, and Timothee Toury, Secretariat General of EUT+.
The principles of the mission statement were outlined, as well as EUT+'s trajectory towards a full fledge university and the need to develop European degrees. During the discussions, the minister spoke out strongly in favour of European degrees and the development of European universities. She described our vision as a " Université des Lumières 2.0 " (University of the Enlightenment 2.0), in reference to the development of knowledge and reason during the "siècle des Lumières" (Age of Enlightenment).
She exchanged views with students elected to the EUT+ student board, as well as with students who have completed a mobility programme in one of the EUT+ clusters.
