The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUCN) held its TUCN Research and Innovation Conference 2025 on March 21st, a significant event celebrating the university's commitment to academic and scientific excellence.
A central theme of the conference was research within the European University of Technology (EUT+). Professor Cristian Dudescu, leader of WPA5 - Research and research-oriented education, presented key insights into the EUT+ research strategy and collaborative opportunities during his session, "Research in EUT+: Opportunities and Perspectives."
Professor Dudescu highlighted:
According to Professor Dudescu, the submission of over 75 joint research proposals between 2020 and 2024 has played a key role in strengthening the EUT+ research ecosystem.
The conference served as a crucial platform for knowledge exchange, reinforcing TUCN's active engagement in EUT+ and its dedication to research excellence and international collaboration. It reiterated the core principle of EUT+: "a diversity of researchers in a team that is stronger than the sum of its parts," emphasizing the power of collective achievement.
Professor Dudescu highlighted:
- The EUT+ common research strategy and roadmap.
- The development of European Research Groups (ERGs) and European Research Institutes (ERIs).
- The advantages of research collaboration within EUT+, including resource sharing, interdisciplinary research, and joint projects.
- The European Graduate Research School (EGRS) and opportunities for young researchers.
- The ECROS project, designed to support early career researchers within EUT+.
