On 26 March took place the final event to present the conclusions of the project STYX (EUT+ STatus and STructure eXperience), an european policy experimentation project in the field of higher education to explore the feasibility of a possible European legal status for alliances of higher education institutions.

The opening speech was given by Tine Delva, Policy Advisor at the Secretariat-General of the European Commission in charge of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals. 34 people from EUT+ university members and 36 external participants attended this online event with the aim of sharing knowledge about how to converge towards a single institution.

Timothée Toury, Secretary General of EUT+, developed the general structure and approach of the project. Janina Fengel presented the legal framework to develop the common activities of EUT+ under a legal entity, Rafael Toledo explained the EUT+ Standards and Guidelines for Harmonization including tools for self-assessment reports, and Karine Lan showed a preliminary sociological analysis of the appropriation of the processes.

The conclusions of this project will be also presented in the next EUT+ rector’s meeting in Cassino, and in the event “Towards a European Degree & a European Legal Status for Alliances of Higher Education Institutions” by SMARTT and the European Commission to be held in Brussels in April 29th.
