UPCT holds its second EUT+ week, which will be attended by 140 representatives of the nine universities in the consortium.
Experts from the European Commission will participate in the meetings of the Education Committee of the European University of Technology to be held in Cartagena from 21 to 23 January on the occasion of EUT+ week, hosted for the second time by the UPCT and attended by around 140 representatives of the nine universities that make up this alliance of technical universities.
Making progress in the preparation and launch of joint official degrees is one of the main topics to be discussed during the EUt+ week in Cartagena, with the telematic participation of Yann-maël Bideau, representative of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Education, and Aleksandar Šušnjar, Director of the European Quality Assurance Register for Degrees. Sofia Costa D'Aguiar, Executive Director of the European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance, will also participate in the EUT+ week to learn about the progress of integration of other European university consortia.
The week also includes the first session of the ‘Train the Trainers’ teacher training programme, focusing on teaching innovation and student-centred methodologies in line with the EUt+ pedagogical framework to be adopted by the joint degrees being developed. This programme will train the ‘trainer champions’ who will drive the pedagogical changes throughout the University.
EUT+ is also taking advantage of its meeting in Cartagena to launch its Incubation Program, an innovation and entrepreneurship initiative that will provide free training and advice for students, with personalised mentoring from entrepreneurs and business people from the nine countries of the universities that make up EUt+. The training will be online and there will be local competitions to choose representatives from each institution who will explain their projects at an event to be held in Darmstadt, Germany.
