One of the most important European events in the field of innovation in which the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca was partner - INNOWAVE Summit 2022 – took place in Cluj-Napoca between 18th and 20th of May. The event was attended by the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel, the President of the European Committee of the Regions, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, the Mayor of Cluj- Napoca, Mr. Emil Boc, as well as other important representatives in the field of technology and innovation. As the representative of the rectors of the member universities in the alliance European University of Technology (EUt +), the TUCN Rector Prof.dr.eng. Vasile Țopa, handed over the Manifesto “Women in Tech” to Mariya Gabriel, President of the European Committee of the Regions, Apostolos Tzitzikostas and Mayor Emil Boc. The Manifesto launches the platform that supports, recognizes and promotes the talent, performance and potential of women active in the digital technology sector and was signed by all the rectors of the European University of Technology consortium. The launch of this platform took place the second day, on 20th of May, when the TUCN Vicerector Prof.dr.eng. Daniela Popescu, handed over the Women in Tech Manifesto to Romanian Prime Minister, Nicolae Ciucă.
